Good bye 'frisco

In a matter of hours I will be leaving San Francisco once again. I just finished my last session and am about to head out to do one last tour of the city.

Last night was the JavaOne "after dark" bash. Dennis Miller was OK. His humour is pretty political and American centric so needless to say it wasn't exactly my cup of tea. I did laugh a few times though. Camp Freddy was a blast though. This celebrity band consisted of members from Jane's Addiction and Incubus plus others I can't think of right now. Anyway, they played a good mix of rock/punk and even managed to get the crowd of computer geeks bouncing on their feet.

Now that JavaOne is over I am ready to go home. As usual it has been an extremely busy week and there was way more I wanted to see at the conference but didn't have time for. What did I learn? Here's a bunch of buzz words I'm coming home armed with:

POJO, annotations, EJB 3.0, persistence, lightweight containers, Spring, hibernate, SOA, JSF, web services...

I think I will reward myself and go to the aquarium. Dinner is at 6:00 at the Cheesecake Factory. Yum Yum, I can't wait. I haven't had a real dinner in three nights so am beginning to feel a little icky.
